Mining engineers specialize in every phase of ore extraction and processing. They recover precious minerals and metals while supporting a fundamental industry for modern civilization. Our Master of Engineering (Mining) program includes a foundational year followed by advanced studies. You will:
examine geomechanics, geotechnical engineering, and geostatistics
develop expertise in mine design, modeling, and simulation
perform risk and uncertainty assessments
investigate mine management, strategic planning, and sustainable methods
select specialized subjects aligned with your professional aspirations
complete a substantial research initiative.
Program Length
2 years full-time
Intake Periods
February and July
A completed four-year Bachelor of Engineering degree or equivalent with a minimum GPA of 4.5 in the field of Mining Engineering.
IELTS: Overall band score of 6.5 and Band score of 6 in all bands; TOEFL Paper-based: total score of 577 with a minimum of 4.5 in the Test of Written English (TWE) or Internet-based: total score of 79 with a minimum of 21 in Writing, 18 in Speaking and 13 in Reading and Listening; Pearson Test of English (Academic) overall score of 58 and Skills profile of no less than 50 in all skills; and Cambridge English-Advanced (CAE): Overall score of 176 and Individual score of 169 in all skills.
