The Graduate Certificate in Research Skills is tailored for professionals seeking career advancement or aiming to pursue a research degree by enhancing their research capabilities. Open to graduates holding a bachelor's degree in any discipline, this program requires completion of 24 units from the following courses (2 units per course) [additional options forthcoming]: Research Fundamentals, Information Resources, Ethics and Research Integrity, Collaborative Research Projects, Effective Research Communication, Engagement and Research Impact, Scholarly Writing, Quantitative Approaches in Humanities and Social Sciences, Qualitative Methods in Humanities and Social Sciences, Research Statistics, Indigenous Knowledge Systems in Research, and Computational Research Techniques. This suite of courses represents half a year of full-time study in our Master of Research program. Students achieving a weighted average mark (WAM) of 65 or above can receive credit toward the master's coursework, potentially completing the degree in just one additional year of full-time study. Those with equivalent prior learning may qualify for up to 12 units of credit. Professionals with substantial experience and recognized prior learning, as approved by Adelaide University, may qualify for direct PhD admission upon completing this certificate with a WAM of 75 or higher. Recognizing the challenges of balancing studies with work and personal commitments, we've designed our research pathways with flexibility in mind, offering both full-time and part-time study options to help you achieve your academic goals while maintaining your current responsibilities.
