Pursuing a dual degree broadens your expertise and unlocks diverse professional pathways.

You'll earn professional honors while mastering Australian legal principles and contemporary sport and recreation management concepts. This legal foundation, paired with specialized knowledge from your Sport and Recreation Management focus, prepares you for a fulfilling career.

Your legal education may include participating in a Community Justice Project, honing advocacy techniques, or gaining practical experience through our Legal Advice Clinic or industry placements. You'll also practice courtroom procedures in our moot court, experiencing firsthand what it means to present cases before a judge.

In sport and recreation management, you'll enhance your skills through field visits, learn from accomplished industry speakers, and benefit from our expert faculty's guidance.

Aspiring legal practitioners should review South Australia's admission requirements for legal practice.

Laws (Honours)
From your first day at UniSA Law, you'll develop crucial abilities including analytical reasoning, report writing, negotiation tactics, and effective communication. You'll immediately begin practicing case arguments and legal counsel scenarios.

The curriculum covers foundational legal courses essential to Australia's judicial framework, including tort law, contractual agreements, criminal statutes, and constitutional provisions - establishing your grasp of fundamental legal doctrines.

Our program also cultivates leadership qualities, cross-cultural communication skills, project coordination expertise, and community involvement capabilities.

Final-year students can complete their Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice while gaining practical experience through mock trials, negotiation simulations, and witness examinations. Participation in Community Justice initiatives, advanced research projects, or professional placements ensures graduates enter legal practice fully prepared.

Sport and Recreation Management
Core curriculum includes Business and Society, Organizational Management, and Marketing Fundamentals. Specialized coursework covers:

facility operations in sports and recreation
leadership strategies in athletic organizations
urban recreational planning
Elective options allow specialization in areas like health legislation, athletic regulations, family law, or human rights law.
