Channel your enthusiasm for fitness into improving lives by helping individuals cope with chronic illnesses, disabilities, and injuries through our Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology (Honours) program. This comprehensive course combines academic knowledge, hands-on training, and clinical rotations to teach you how therapeutic exercise can both prevent diseases and address various health challenges. You'll study the body's key systems—such as skeletal, muscular, nervous, endocrine, cardiovascular, and respiratory—and how their structure and function evolve with age and chronic conditions. Investigate how optimal nutrition contributes to better patient results. Master the application of movement science and biomechanics to evaluate client capabilities and reduce injury risks. Develop proficiency in utilizing clinical assessment tools to measure functional abilities, strength, and cardiorespiratory fitness. Beyond classroom learning, you'll gain practical experience through up to 500 hours of clinical placements at top South Australian rehabilitation centers and our three on-campus exercise physiology clinics, working directly with patients.
