Following this, you may undertake a one-year Psychology Board of Australia approved internship or the Graduate Diploma of Professional Psychological Practice to fulfill the fifth and sixth years of training required for general registration. This program holds conditional accreditation from the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC). International students must meet the following criteria:
Qualifications equivalent to an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited four-year undergraduate sequence within the last 10 years (qualifications must be assessed by the Australian Psychological Society (APS) for equivalence and evidence of assessment provided), AND
Be eligible for registration with the Psychology Board of Australia as a provisional psychologist (which requires you to meet all the requirements for registration).
International student IELTS requirement: Academic IELTS minimum overall band of 6.5 with no individual band below 6.0 completed in the last two years (or equivalent).
